Stomping in the Mud Play Group is a rich, natural outdoor play environment where children have the opportunity to play outside,
rain or shine ... a chance for preschoolers to 'live in the moment' while learning through play.

It's always interesting to see where the paint ends up - they are so creative with it!

"For a small child there is no division between playing and learning, between the things he or she does 'just for fun' and things that are educational. The child learns while living and any part of living that is enjoyable is also play." Penelope Leach

Are we going on a Forest Walk today? Absolutely!

Last week at Stomping the children were so engaged in what they were doing we decided to skip our usual forest walk. It wasn't going to be skipped this week; the children were asking to go almost as soon as the parents left. Dianne and I were thrilled. The forest has become an important part of their Stomping experience and they want to be in it!

It was quickly decided to head to the part of our forest we call the 'Stick Forest'. They took off running...Dianne and I got our workout in today!

Some of the children found a slug under a log...

I heard lots of discussion about what slugs feel like and eat.

On the way back we stopped often to pick wild flowers.

It was a wonderful morning in the warm Spring air exploring nature.
Thanks for Stomping by!
